  $5.5 Million to be transferred to World Wide Work from Assembly Hall fund

  a letter was read tonight in our kingdom hall that the money that the circuits in the indianapolis area had in savings to build a new assembly hall will now be transferred to the www to build kingdom halls in lands where they are needed and a new assembly hall for us will not be built.. we had a beautiful assembly hall near downtown indy that was paid for.

  it was sold a couple of years ago.

  we were promised a new assembly hall to be built in southern ohio near the indiana border but they can kiss that goodbye now.

  Nothing new... you should hear the stories of "money grabs" here in the Lone Star State. Yeeehawww... 'Cept some of these cowboys fought for their rights and did vote NO.

  my name is jacobi, i am a born-in but mentally out for more or less a decade at this point (although it was cradual) and about 40yo.

  i don't want to say a lot about my family, but it is a mix of going-through-the-motions, semi-actives (but mentally in), some who have left for a few reasons and one really depressed pioneer.

  because people fade in and out i have managed to slide under the radar and i keep up apperances of not being all-out apostate but i completed my fade about years ago (it also helped i moved to another part of the country).. i might rub some of you the wrong way because of my views on different things like politics.. i am not a trump supporter at all and neither are most people in my country.

  Welcome Jacobi. Don't worry about your political stance etc here. Focus on the topics that interest you the most. Enjoy your freedom and never feel you have to conform to any one group (that is the JW way of thinking) You are free to express yourself here with no judgement.

  The book burning has started

  don't know if this is a global thing but i've just been told by a pimo member of my old congregation that a min servant has been given the task of destroying all old books/literature in the kh library prior to 1992.. could be the elders (or even one of them) on a mission to stamp out dissent as my ex-wife used the same reasoning to her elder dad that i used in my jc: rutherfords books containing failed predictions.. anyone else heared anything?.

  the ms who's been given the task is a company man.

  no hope of him keeping them or selling them on ebay.. they have some russell books in that library too.

  Well this kind of book dumping happened here in the states about 4-5 years ago at our old KH. There was an announcement that the library was being cleared out to "make room" for something or another... older publications were being stacked up and it was announced to bring in your own older publications since we now had them on CD and off the new website. There was no mention of "well, if anyone wants these older books, feel free to add them to your library" as was the case in times past. I remember thinking it was odd to ask people to bring in old books, but it was (of course) a passing thought at the time. Now, I realize exactly what they were doing---- and they DID DO IT!! Only pubs from the late 90's and up were left... NO JOKE! They had successfully wiped their history books in our old hall--- everyone complied.

  BUT---- just to add: Yes, you could and most likely will be monitored if you give yourself away on here. Use common sense if you are fading... or questioning things... if you're not-- then who gives a $heeettt! ;)

  I asked a very similar question a few years ago when I first joined this forum. The GB and elders are looking for higher ups- and leakers of wonderful videos like the ones Lloyd Evans just posted on his John Cedars channel. If you are just an average "Joe" have no fear- and even if you're not an average "Joe" have NO FEAR! lol The paranoia and suspicion is normal when you are first coming out or first joining a forum- it gets better and easier. You'll soon see that on your own and begin to trust things more as time goes on.

  i`m sure you have all noticed the ever increasing number of newbies and lurkers who have visited this site over the past months and i am sure we could all collectively welcome them to this site and support them on learning the ttatt .

  and helping them to navigate how they can look up older publications and quotes of the wtb&ts that they would rather remain hidden.. we all know jehovah`s witnesses /governing body never apologizes for mistakes they make they just don`t mention them anymore and explain it away as new light from god.. actually a big cop out.. welcome to all you who are new to this site .. every day their seems to be someone new posting which is great .. and if this is any indication of what is happening in all other ex jw sites the wtb&ts are in deep trouble .
